مجموعة الأقران هي المختبرات التي تستخدم الطريقة والجهاز نفسيهما، وغالباً دفعة الكاشف أو الكونترول نفسها، وتُجمع نتائجها لتكون أساس المقارنة في برامج التقييم الخارجي وضبط الجودة. المقارنة مع الأقران بدلاً من جميع الطرق تمنع الإنذارات الكاذبة، لأن طريقتي الكرياتينين (جافي والإنزيمية) قد تختلفان منهجياً.
Definition
A peer group is the set of laboratories using the same method and analyzer, and often the same reagent or control lot, whose pooled results form the comparison basis in EQA or QC programmes. Comparing with peers instead of all methods avoids false alarms, since two creatinine methods (Jaffe and enzymatic) can differ systematically.
