إحكام القياس هو مدى تقارب النتائج التي نحصل عليها من قياسات مكررة على العينة نفسها في ظروف محددة، بغض النظر عن قربها من القيمة الحقيقية. يُعبَّر عنه بالانحراف المعياري أو معامل الاختلاف، فجهاز يعطي 4.9 و5.0 و5.1 لعينة واحدة أكثر إحكاماً من جهاز يعطي 4.6 و5.0 و5.4.
Definition
Measurement precision is the closeness of agreement between results of replicate measurements on the same sample under stated conditions, regardless of how close they are to the true value. It is expressed as SD or CV, so an analyser giving 4.9, 5.0 and 5.1 on one sample is more precise than one giving 4.6, 5.0 and 5.4.
