المنطقة الصافية حول قرص المضاد التي لم ينمُ فيها الجرثوم، ويُقاس قطرها بالميليمتر. يُقارن القطر بجداول الحدود الفاصلة، والمنطقة الواسعة تدل عموماً على الحساسية، والضيقة على المقاومة.
Definition
The clear area around an antibiotic disk where the organism has not grown, measured as a diameter in millimetres. The diameter is compared with breakpoint tables, and a wide zone generally indicates susceptibility.
