السكر الرئيسي في الدم، ويقاس بطرق إنزيمية (غلوكوز أوكسيداز أو هكسوكيناز) في البلازما أو المصل أو الدم الشعيري. غلوكوز البلازما الصيامي 126 ملغ/دل (7.0 مليمول/لتر) فأكثر عند تكرار التحليل يدعم تشخيص السكري. ينخفض الغلوكوز في العينات غير المفصولة، لذلك يلزم أنبوب الفلوريد أو الفصل السريع.
Definition
The main blood sugar, measured by enzymatic methods (glucose oxidase or hexokinase) in plasma, serum or capillary blood. A fasting plasma glucose of 126 mg/dL (7.0 mmol/L) or higher on repeat testing supports a diagnosis of diabetes. Glucose falls in unseparated samples, so fluoride tubes or prompt separation are needed.
