الحساسية الوظيفية هي أدنى تركيز تحقق عنده الطريقة معامل اختلاف بين الدورات لا يتجاوز 20%، وقد استُخدم المفهوم أولاً في مقايسات TSH. تبين الحد الأدنى العملي للإبلاغ عن النتائج، وغالباً ما تكون أعلى من حد الكشف الذي تذكره الشركة المصنعة.
Definition
Functional sensitivity is the lowest concentration at which a method achieves a between-run CV of 20% or less, a concept first used for TSH assays. It shows the practical lower limit for reporting results, and it is often higher than the limit of detection stated by the manufacturer.
