قيمة القطع هي القيمة الفاصلة بين النتيجة الإيجابية والسلبية في التحليل النوعي أو شبه الكمي، وتُختار لتحقيق توازن بين الحساسية والنوعية التشخيصيتين. في المقايسات المناعية لفيروس HIV أو HBsAg تُعطى النتائج غالباً كنسبة الإشارة إلى قيمة القطع، وتُعد القيمة 1.0 فأكثر متفاعلة.
Definition
A cutoff is the threshold value that separates positive from negative results in a qualitative or semi-quantitative test, chosen to balance diagnostic sensitivity and specificity. In HIV or HBsAg immunoassays, results are often expressed as a signal-to-cutoff ratio, where 1.0 or above is reactive.
