كتلة مرئية من الأحياء الدقيقة على وسط صلب تنشأ عادة من خلية واحدة أو مجموعة خلايا. حجمها ولونها وشكلها ورائحتها ونمط انحلال الدم حولها على آغار الدم تعطي أول دلائل التعريف.
Definition
A visible mass of microorganisms on a solid medium that usually arises from a single cell or a small group of cells. Its size, colour, shape, smell and hemolysis on blood agar give the first clues to identification.
