العينة العمياء عينة ضبط يجهل المخبر قيمتها المتوقعة، أو تصله دون أن يعرف أنها عينة اختبار، مثل عينات التقييم الخارجي للجودة. يجب تمريرها مع عينات المرضى وبالطريقة نفسها دون تكرار إضافي أو معاملة خاصة، وإلا فلن تعكس النتيجة الأداء الفعلي للمخبر.
Definition
A blind sample is a control sample whose expected value the laboratory does not know, or which arrives without the laboratory knowing it is a test sample, as in external quality assessment. It must be run with patient samples in the same way, without extra repeats or special handling, or the result will not reflect the laboratory's real performance.
