الربط ثنائي الاتجاه هو وصلة يرسل فيها نظام المعلومات طلبات التحاليل إلى الجهاز ويستقبل منه النتائج، مقارنةً بالربط أحادي الاتجاه الذي يستقبل النتائج فقط. عند قراءة باركود العينة يسأل الجهاز النظام عن التحاليل المطلوبة، فلا يحتاج الفني إلى إدخالها يدوياً على الجهاز.
Definition
A bidirectional interface is a link in which the information system sends test orders to the analyzer and receives results back, compared with a unidirectional link that only receives results. When the sample barcode is read, the analyzer queries the system for the requested tests, so the technician does not key them in on the instrument.
