التعريف
المقايسة هي الطريقة التحليلية التي تقيس كمية مادة معينة أو نشاطها في العينة، وتشمل الكواشف والمعايِرات وظروف التفاعل. تختلف مقايسات المادة نفسها بين الشركات، فقد تعطي مقايستان للفيريتين قيمتين مختلفتين للعينة نفسها، ولذلك يُذكر اسم الطريقة عند مقارنة النتائج.
Definition
An assay is the analytical method that measures the amount or activity of a substance in a sample, including its reagents, calibrators and reaction conditions. Assays for the same analyte differ between manufacturers, so two ferritin assays can give different values on one sample, which is why the method is named when results are compared.
