ترفض قاعدة 10x عندما تقع عشر نتائج كونترول متتالية في الجهة نفسها من المتوسط، مهما كان بعدها عنه. تكشف الخطأ المنهجي الصغير المستمر، وهو شائع بعد تغيير دفعة الكاشف أو الكونترول، وتُستخدم صيغ أخرى مثل 8x أو 12x بحسب عدد مستويات الكونترول في الدورة.
Definition
The 10x rule rejects when ten consecutive control results fall on the same side of the mean, whatever their distance from it. It detects small persistent systematic error, typical after a new reagent or control lot, and variants such as 8x or 12x are used depending on the number of controls per run.
