تتحقق قاعدة 1-2s عندما تقع نتيجة كونترول واحدة خارج المتوسط ±2 انحراف معياري. تُستخدم في قواعد ويستغارد كإنذار يدفع إلى فحص القواعد الأخرى، لأن استخدامها وحدها للرفض يرفض نحو 5% من الدورات السليمة مع كونترول واحد ونحو 9% مع مستويين.
Definition
The 1-2s rule is triggered when one control result falls outside the mean ±2 SD. In the Westgard multirule it serves as a warning that prompts inspection with the other rules, because used alone as a rejection rule it rejects about 5% of good runs with one control and about 9% with two.
