التعريف
كل أداة قادرة على جرح الجلد أو ثقبه، ومنها الإبر والواخزات والشفرات والزجاج المكسور والشرائح الزجاجية. تُلقى الأدوات الحادة المستعملة فوراً في حاوية مقاومة للثقب في موقع الاستخدام، ولا يُعاد غطاء الإبرة باليد أبداً. تُغلق الحاويات وتُستبدل عند امتلائها بنحو ثلاثة أرباع.
Definition
Any item that can cut or puncture skin, including needles, lancets, blades, broken glass and glass slides. Used sharps go straight into a puncture-resistant container at the point of use, and needles are never recapped by hand. Containers are closed and replaced when about three quarters full.
