حجرة مهواة مزودة بمرشحات HEPA تحمي العامل والبيئة من الرذاذ، وتحمي العينة أيضاً في خزانات الفئة الثانية، وهي المعتمدة في الأحياء الدقيقة وتداول العينات المفتوحة. أما منضدة التدفق الصفحي النظيفة فجهاز مختلف يدفع الهواء نحو المستخدم ولا يوفر له حماية. تحتاج الخزانة إلى اعتماد فني سنوي على الأقل.
Definition
A ventilated enclosure with HEPA filters that protects the operator and environment from aerosols, and in Class II cabinets also the sample. Class II is standard for microbiology and open specimen handling. A laminar flow clean bench is a different device that blows air toward the user and gives no personal protection. Cabinets need certification at least yearly.
