الانتقائية خاصية نظام القياس في إعطاء نتائج لمادة مقيسة أو أكثر لا تتأثر بكميات أخرى في العينة، وفق VIM. وهي المصطلح المترولوجي المفضل القريب من النوعية التحليلية، وتظهر أهميتها في طرق مثل الأقطاب الانتقائية للشوارد، إذ يجب ألا يستجيب قطب الصوديوم للبوتاسيوم.
Definition
Selectivity is the property of a measuring system to give results for one or more measurands that do not depend on other quantities in the sample (VIM). It is the preferred metrological term close to analytical specificity, and it matters in methods such as ion-selective electrodes, where a sodium electrode must not respond to potassium.
