القيمة التنبؤية الإيجابية هي احتمال أن يكون الشخص ذو النتيجة الإيجابية مصاباً فعلاً، وتُحسب بقسمة الإيجابيات الحقيقية على جميع النتائج الإيجابية. تعتمد بشدة على نسبة الانتشار، فتحليل حساسيته ونوعيته 99% لحالة تصيب 1% ممن يُجرى لهم التحليل تكون قيمته التنبؤية الإيجابية 50% فقط.
Definition
Positive predictive value is the probability that a person with a positive result truly has the condition, calculated as true positives divided by all positives. It depends strongly on prevalence: with 99% sensitivity and 99% specificity, a condition affecting 1% of those tested gives a PPV of only 50%.
