فيروسات التهاب الكبد خمسة أنواع رئيسية A وB وC وD وE تصيب الكبد بطرق انتقال مختلفة. يعتمد المخبر على واسمات مصلية مثل HBsAg وanti-HBc لالتهاب الكبد B وanti-HCV لالتهاب الكبد C، ثم يؤكد العدوى الفعالة بقياس HBV DNA أو HCV RNA، لأن إيجابية anti-HCV وحدها لا تميز العدوى الحالية من السابقة.
Definition
The hepatitis viruses are five main types, A, B, C, D and E, which infect the liver by different routes. The laboratory uses serological markers such as HBsAg and anti-HBc for hepatitis B and anti-HCV for hepatitis C, then confirms active infection with HBV DNA or HCV RNA, because a positive anti-HCV alone does not separate current from past infection.
