زرع الدم في زجاجات مرق تُحضن، غالباً في جهاز آلي، لكشف الجراثيم أو الفطور في مجرى الدم. سحب مجموعتين أو أكثر من موضعين منفصلين، مع الحجم الصحيح في كل زجاجة، يحسن الكشف ويساعد على التفريق بين الإنتان الحقيقي وملوثات الجلد.
Definition
Culture of blood inoculated into broth bottles and incubated, often in an automated system, to detect bacteria or fungi in the bloodstream. Taking two or more sets from separate sites, each with the correct volume, improves detection and helps separate true infection from skin contaminants.
