الحمض النووي الريبوزي الميكروي جزيئات RNA قصيرة غير مرمزة طولها نحو 22 نكليوتيدًا تنظم التعبير المورثي. تُدرس كمؤشرات حيوية في الدم للسرطان وأمراض القلب، وتُقاس عادة بـ RT-qPCR، وأي انحلال دم في العينة يطلق miRNA من الكريات الحمراء فيغير النتائج، لذلك تحتاج إلى تحضير دقيق للعينة.
Definition
MicroRNAs are short non-coding RNA molecules about 22 nucleotides long that regulate gene expression. They are studied as blood biomarkers for cancer and heart disease and are usually measured by RT-qPCR. Haemolysis releases red cell microRNAs into the sample and distorts results, so sample handling needs care.
