التعريف
حمض نووي غير الهدف يُضاف إلى كل تفاعل أو يوجد فيه طبيعياً، ويُضخم مع الهدف ليثبت أن التضخيم نجح. إذا فشل الهدف والضابط الداخلي معاً فالنتيجة غير صالحة، ويُعاد استخلاص العينة أو تمريرها ولا تُصدر النتيجة سلبية أبداً.
Definition
A non-target nucleic acid added to, or naturally present in, each reaction and amplified alongside the target to show that amplification worked. If both the target and the internal control fail, the result is invalid and the sample must be re-extracted or repeated, never reported as negative.
