قصور القلب حالة يعجز فيها القلب عن ضخ الدم بما يلبي حاجة الجسم. تحليله المخبري الأساسي هو الببتيدات المدرة للصوديوم، فقيمة NT-proBNP أقل من 125 بيكوغرام/مل أو BNP أقل من 35 بيكوغرام/مل تجعل القصور غير الحاد مستبعدًا، مع العلم أن BNP قد يرتفع عند استعمال مثبطات النبريليزين بينما لا يتأثر NT-proBNP.
Definition
Heart failure is a condition in which the heart cannot pump enough blood for the body's needs. Its main laboratory test is the natriuretic peptides, where NT-proBNP below 125 pg/mL or BNP below 35 pg/mL makes non-acute heart failure unlikely. BNP can rise in patients taking neprilysin inhibitors, while NT-proBNP is unaffected.
