الحويصلات الخلوية جسيمات صغيرة محاطة بغشاء دهني تطلقها الخلايا إلى الدم والسوائل الحيوية، ومنها الإكسوزومات، وتحمل بروتينات وأحماضًا نووية من الخلية الأم. تُدرس اليوم كمؤشرات حيوية للسرطان وأمراض أخرى، ويحتاج عزلها إلى طرد مركزي فائق أو تقنيات خاصة، ولم تدخل بعد في التحاليل الروتينية.
Definition
Extracellular vesicles are small membrane-bound particles, including exosomes, that cells release into blood and body fluids, carrying proteins and nucleic acids from their cell of origin. They are studied as biomarkers for cancer and other diseases. Isolating them needs ultracentrifugation or dedicated methods, and they are not yet part of routine testing.
