تحليل يكشف تسلسلاً محدداً من DNA أو RNA بعد نسخه مرات كثيرة، بتفاعل PCR أو بطرق متساوية الحرارة. يكشف العوامل الممرضة مثل SARS-CoV-2 والمتدثرة والسل أبكر وبحساسية أعلى من الزرع أو تحاليل المستضد، لكنه يكشف أيضاً الحمض النووي من الجراثيم الميتة.
Definition
A test that detects a specific DNA or RNA sequence after copying it many times, by PCR or isothermal methods. NAATs detect pathogens such as SARS-CoV-2, chlamydia or tuberculosis earlier and with higher sensitivity than culture or antigen tests, and they also detect nucleic acid from dead organisms.
