تحرير الأحماض النووية من العينة وتنقيتها من البروتينات والمثبطات، باستعمال أعمدة الترشيح أو الحبيبات المغناطيسية أو الأنظمة الآلية. الاستخلاص الضعيف يقلل المردود ويترك المثبطات، وكلاهما قد يسبب نتائج سلبية كاذبة.
Definition
Releasing nucleic acids from the specimen and purifying them away from proteins and inhibitors, using spin columns, magnetic beads or automated systems. Poor extraction lowers the yield and leaves inhibitors behind, and both can cause false negative results.
