ضابط يمر بخطوة الاستخلاص مع العينات ليثبت أن الحمض النووي استُرد وأنه لم يحدث تلوث أثناء الاستخلاص. قد يكون عينة إيجابية معروفة، أو عينة سلبية، أو كائناً أو تسلسلاً مضافاً إلى كل عينة.
Definition
A control taken through the extraction step together with the samples, to show that nucleic acid was recovered and that no contamination occurred during extraction. It may be a known positive specimen, a negative specimen, or an organism or sequence added to each sample.
